As mentioned in the April Update, FHU (“Fountain Hills University”) is a new program which was implemented this past academic year in partnership with Arizona State University.  The program gave the opportunity for juniors and seniors to enroll in ASU college courses while still in high school and receive high school and college credit.  This allowed the student to complete the entire first-year requirements at ASU.  If the student successfully passed all of the classes, the credit was awarded AT NO COST to the student’s family!  For the upcoming academic year, the program will be expanded to allow students to receive up to two years college credit.  ASU college credit isn’t just accepted at ASU, but at almost any college or university nationwide.  No high school in AZ, except Fountain Hills High School, offers this valuable benefit.

Fountain Hills High School, has a tradition of excellence over the past decade, including being named a 2025 National Model School, one of only 13 high schools in the U.S., a five-time Arizona Department of Education “A” letter grade designation, an A+ School of Excellence award for excellence and innovation, and a five-time U.S. News & World Report “Best” & “National School” recipient.  AZ has open enrollment giving parents freedom to choose the school for their children.  How about sending your student to a high school with smaller class sizes, very few discipline issues, innovative and flexible schedules, and a senior internship with a local business to learn workforce skills while exploring a career of interest?
